Our Story

In 2001, we opened our East Meadow Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace opened at 2330 Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow, New York, making it our very first location to open. Since then, we’ve added a number of new Marketplace locations, creating thousands of local jobs, and including all the features that Uncle Giuseppe’s customers have come to love about their favorite Uncle G’s – including a meat department with a selection of the best steaks, poultry, roasts, and Italian sausage made daily in front of customers, a deli counter with dozens of dishes made using traditional Italian recipes, a produce department with a large variety of domestic, imported, local, and organic fruits and vegetables, an Italian bakery where customers can enjoy their favorite baked goods, a candy counter with sweets and treats all house-made, a seafood department with live lobsters, freshly caught seafood, and an assortment of prepared dinners, a pasta room where customers can see fresh ravioli and pasta being made, a cheese selection with hundreds of different cheeses from around the world, along with our signature mozzarella machine that’s imported directly from Italy, and so much more.

You see, your shopping experience at Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace mirrors the way our grandparents used to shop, where you enjoy visiting each of your trusted neighborhood stores and markets. We’ve combined this with a full-service supermarket to give you the best possible food shopping experience at the best value, and where you can buy all of your weekly groceries at competitive prices. We’re committed to selling the tastiest food that’s made with traditional old-fashioned Italian recipes, and using the highest quality ingredients available. With that uncompromising dedication to delicious food and friendly customer service, you’re always treated like family at Uncle Giuseppe’s. We want to make shopping enjoyable again, complete with Italian music, samples, and friendly associates.

We believe that we are not just a supermarket, but an experience. From choosing from dozens of homemade pastas and sauces, to watching our sushi chefs hand-roll fresh sushi, from choosing your own fresh live lobster, to buying specialty products that just can’t be found anywhere else, Uncle Giuseppe’s ensures that every experience is a special one.

So stop by! Eat, sing, shop… At Uncle Giuseppe’s all of our customers are welcomed and treated like family. Mangia Bene!
