A simple favorite in the style of the traditional semi-soft gouda. The name is derived from the city of Gouda in the Netherlands. Flavorful with a semi-soft texture. Gouda is creamy with a smooth. Made from whole cow’s milk, the cheese is dried for a few days before being coated with a red wax to prevent it from drying out. Red Wax Gouda is a slightly richer cheese than its close relative, Edam. This semi-soft gouda is a perfect cheese for your sandwich or just to snack on by the handful. Suggested wine pairing: Pinot Gris or light bodied Côtes de Rhône red blend
