Pecorino Toscano

Flavor:

Fruity, nutty.

Story:

An excellent Sheep’s Milk Cheese produced only in Tuscany, Italy under D.O.P. guidelines and aged for a minimum 30 days. It has a mild, yet flavorful, sweet, smooth, milky taste that has much less salt than other Sheep’s Milk Cheeses which are usually from Sardinia. Pecorino Toscano Fresco is rich & has a semi-soft texture that is best enjoyed as a table cheese served with a nice Chianti Wine.

Recommended Pairings:

Aged Pecorino pairs beautifully with Italian Acacia honey as well as fruit preserves like marmalade and jam. Coupled with fresh pears, walnuts and Italian chestnut honey, Pecorino Toscano makes a tasty and polished addition to any gathering.
